The Ugly WomanThere once lived an ugly woman-
Her hair grew like spiderwebs,
Her face was obscured by blotches of red,
And her back crumpled in on itself.
So she lived alone in a secluded house-
Waiting for a kinder world.

One thing she did not see was that
Underneath she was beautiful.
Her voice sang to the angels
And her kindness was unmatched.
But nobody bothered to look behind her hideous face.

One winter there was a frail knocking at her door.
The woman was very afraid to open it
Because she did not want to curse
Anybody with the sight of her.
She began to walk away, but a strangled "HELP!"
Was the only thing it took
To persuade her t
The Two PathsAnd G-d said, "One path leads to Heaven and the other to the depths of Hell.

                                                  You may choose your way."

Both cobblestoned roads seemed to go on forever and you could not differentiate the two. The young man knew not whether to travel left or right and he felt that his fate depended on it.

                               He chose the left.

He went along slowly, so if the path he chose was wrong maybe he could go back and try again.

And then the young man reached his destination- a patch of green grass with a blue sky stretching on forever above. He saw no angels, but then again no devils.
The Princess and the DoveEach year a delicate dove would drop a yellow rose
Onto the patch of grass
Where the princess had realized and ended her dream.
The dove would return, but never stay.
The whole sky awaited.

The princess sat in the windowless tower for all her life.
Her mother had told her that she was too sick
To ever know the world beyond the cold stone walls.
So the little girl spent her days combing out her hair
Which was as yellow and radiant as the sun she would never see.
Some days she could hear birds singing on the outside
And so the princess sang too so she could fly away.

The princess grew more and more beautiful
And her songs became mo
The Court MusicianThe court musician was but a boy
When he first lifted the violin for the prince.
Now he is a man and knows of pain,
But mostly of undying love.

His hands had trembled when he first played
For the scowling black-haired prince,
But the music came from his soul
And was as true as his heart.
They were both but children but something happened
When the music reached his ears,
The prince knew that then he could not live
Without being with that boy, that court musician.

And so the boy was paid
To come back each year to play
For the handsome black-haired prince
And both of them waited for the one special night.

The year they were thirt
Purple UmbrellaI remembered that when I was little I thought that I would meet my husband in the rain. He would have a purple umbrella and put it over me.
I think we stop at a cafe and get tea.
He always walks me home at the end.
                                  &
I think it's a lie that actions speak louder than words. Because I can write poems more eloquently than I can kiss.

The lonely boy with the harsh look on his face is in the corner again.
I can't help but stare.
I just want to make him smile because he'd be even more beautiful.

All of the world seems to be on my s
Tattered Red VelvetI cannot believe that there is not good in you.
Your flame of hope is hardly illuminating your heart's darkness,
But didn't you know that stars are born in black?
Red stains your hardened heart,
Indifference has tainted your soul,
But isn't that what paints your music beautiful?
Misery loves company, that's why I can't deny my love
For each and every one of your sins.

.Fragile.

I don't think Ermine is like a ferret at all.
He looks more...
                                                              ...Fragile.
I can see spidery blue veins
    Underneath his paper-thin skin.
It reminds me of china dishes.

Mother used to keep china dishes on a glass shelf
And always told me,
                               "Do not touch,
                                                     they will break."
Sometimes when she argued with father I was afraid
That they would shatter
Because of her shrieking voice.
One day she got very angry at father,
And she took a plate off the glass shelf
And she threw it.
It shattered on the ground near his feet.
I felt like crying because it used to be so pretty.

Ermine looks like that.
I do not want him to shatter like the china plate.
He should wear a sign that says,
                                  "Do not touch,
                                                        I will break."

I do not want to let go of him
Because he will shatter.
Ermine is not like a ferret.

He should be called Fragile.

WOW. I hope you win the competition! This is very beautifully done! :3 I can imagine indecision's drawings come to life whilst I read this xD
